Virtual Learrning Projects using Moodle software
During 2010 Dragonfly Workflow Ltd became involved with 2 Virtual Learning sites. Both clients are in the private sector and run work-based learning courses and foundation learning for young people.
Building a Virtual Learning Environment is a like creating a new town! A plan needs to be drawn up and discussed with the relevant departments. The project management of setting up portrait studios has been a useful grounding for this new adventure. We are now able to offer Moodle site administration, interface design and course construction and of course, user training.
Virtual Learning is rapidly being adopted in the private and public sectors as the way forward for centrally holding learning materials and resources and for distance learning. Now there is no excuse for not being able to attend class as you can be set projects at home. A user can access his work from anywhere in the world with a computer. In effect this is a 'cloud' based software solution and does not require a user to install any software as the project is accessed from a web browser.

Dragonfly Workflow Ltd is well placed to create interesting and stimulating materials that work within a Moodle environment. We have been able to convert existing materials into interactive PDF, convert PowerPoint presentations into Flash so that they will play remotely on PCs without the creating program installed.
We are delivering self marking quizzes that save tutors admin time and can prove that teaching and learning has taken place. This is becoming an important requirement for Ofsted Inspection. Dragonfly Workflow Ltd has CRB clearance (Criminal Records Bureau) essential for working with young people.
In October 2011, we successfully completed the JISC Netskills Professional Certificate in eLearning.
